About Inclusive Sports

Bismarck Public Schools Foundation and Bismarck Public Schools is kicking off Inclusive Sports, which unites athletes with and without disabilities in athletic competition. The purpose of Inclusive Sports is to give all students the opportunity to be on a team and wear a school uniform whether they are disabled or not. Bismarck Public Schools would be the first to start Inclusive Sports in North Dakota with flag football at the high school level this fall followed by bowling, then track this spring. The group is looking for about $15,000 for equipment, facility fees and potential transportation costs. If the program is successful, it will be expanded to BPS middle school students.
