Share the Music
The Share the Music program started in 2015 through the Bismarck Public Schools Foundation and allows students that are in financial need to benefit from instrumental music education. The program provides donated band and orchestra instruments to students who would not otherwise be able to afford an instrument. The student is able to use the instrument for the duration of their time in the Bismarck Public School system as long as they remain in a band or orchestra.
So how can you help?
1. Donate an instrument! Instruments that have been used and need minimal repair can be brought to the Activities Department located within the Hughes Education Center. Instruments needed most are flutes, clarinets, saxophones and drum kits.
2. Donate financially. Monetary donations go to the running of the program to pay for instrument repair, accessories needed for the instruments and books. Any amount you give will make an impact, whether you donate $5 or $500.
