Tayler Fladeland Memorial Scholarship

Tayler Fladeland Memorial Scholarship

The Tayler Fladeland Memorial Scholarship was established with memorial contributions after Tayler’s much-too-early passing in July 2010. Tayler left behind many cherished memories with his grandparents, uncles, aunts and many cousins, and it is because of these relatives’ love for Tayler that this scholarship was established.

With aspirations of becoming an architect, Tayler had many dreams. He would have graduated with the Class of 2011 from Bismarck High School. He was involved in sports; football, wrestling, skateboarding and snowboarding. Tayler was a hard worker and a loyal friend, his spirit lives on. This scholarship would have made him proud.

The purpose of the Tayler Fladeland Memorial Scholarship will be to financially assist students from Bismarck High School to continue their post secondary education.

Selection will be based on a minimum 2.5 GPA and a recommendation by a teacher or counselor.

The staff of Bismarck High School who currently reviews scholarship applications shall in the spring of 2011 and the next nine springs thereafter choose the recipients for two $1,000.00 scholarships. Julie Fladeland, Tayler Fladeland’s mother, may serve on the selection committee as long as she desires.
